Manage licenses
Assigns or removes a user’s Microsoft 365 licenses.
Required permission :Licenses
One checkbox per license available on the tenant. Checking assigns the license, unchecking removes it; the number of remaining licenses is shown next to each checkbox.
Where to find it : User profile → “Licenses” panel
Fields to fill in
No field to fill in — a single confirmation button is enough.
Checkboxes and options
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Checkbox per license (e.g. “Microsoft 365 Business Premium”) | Checked = assigned to the user, unchecked = removed. A license with no quota left is greyed out unless already assigned. |
Good to know
- The “Save” button only activates once a checkbox has changed state.
